Wedding season is here! Do you want to make better choices when it comes to fashion? And are you searching a dress from more sustainable brands because you would like to step away from the mass production of the big ones like Zara and the H&M Group? Then let’s start here – in this blog post you will find sustainable dresses in blue shades. I will prepare a red, neutral and black edition for you in the following days and add it here in the next days.
From left to right, starting in the left corner first line.
Encircled – The Chrysalis Cardi This dress is so special because you can wear it make 8 garments out of it. From the one shoulder dress to a cardigan to a scarf to a skirt. It’s the perfect dress when you’re traveling or when you don’t want to wear it only for the wedding. The fabric is a blend from Lenzing Modal® and Spandex, so it’s a plant based fabric which is extra soft on your skin. This option is not only sustainably made – it’s also ethically made in Canada.
Sézane Paris – Lady Dress
You want to add some French chic to your closet and to your wedding guest dress? Sézane Paris is your first address then. I love the brand and I own several pieces from this French brand, from shoes to shirts to dresses. The products are high-quality, they’re using a lot of natural and sustainable fabrics and they produce a majority of their items in Europe. The Lady Dress featured here is made in Bulgaria from recycled polyester. It has beautiful details like the open back, lace on the sleeves and a flowy silhouette.
Whimsy + Row – Fiona dress in Midnight
One of my favorite sustainable brands from California. I have the Lola Wrap dress in Black and I love, love, love it. The fabric of both dresses is the same. It feels silk but better on your skin. It’s made with a blend of Tencel and Cupro. It has an elegant shine to it, it’s very comfortable to wear and the dress always makes me feel good. This one here comes in a perfect midi length and a timeless design, so you can wear it again and again. And can we speak for a second about the gorgeous shade of blue?
Amour Vert – Olive Tencel Midi Dress in Indigo
This dress here is made in the USA and the fabric is TENCEL™, a material which is fully biodegradable and one of the most eco-friendly fabrics at the moment. The dress has a gorgeous twist-detail in front, a maxi length and the skirt comes in an A-form which makes it extra flattering. The dress wants to make you dance all night long!
Reformation – Westerly Dress in Celadon
Can I have a WOW for this dress? I love the subtle color of this one, it’s a light blue green and so gorgeous. I love the maxi length and the tie straps. It looks so elegant yet sexy with the side slit. The dress is sustainably made in China out of 100% Viscose.
Cuyana – Gathered One Shoulder Dress in Sea Foam
Another dress in a fabulous color. The dress is elegant but so special with the one shoulder and the puffy sleeve. What I love most on this dress is the waist slit, discreet but such a pretty detail. Comes in a flattering maxi length. The dress is made with 45% Organic Pima Cotton, 45% Modal and 10% Elasthan. Where is it made? In Lima, Peru and GOTS, Oeko-tex certified.
Reformation – Gloriana Dress in Cyanotype
Can you tell that I love the dresses from Reformation? This one comes in a beautiful floral print, has a absolutely gorgeous sweetheart neckline and a wrap skirt. It’s made with 100% silk and also this is sustainably made in China. I included this one despite the fact that Silk is less a sustainable fibre than others here.
Tamga Designs – Fiona Maxi Dress in Sapphire
This dress comes in a beautiful Folklore print and is perfect for a Garden Wedding. It comes with ruffle details, an elastic waistband, the 3-tier skirt is voluminous and you will want to dance the night away in it. The fabric is 100% LENZING™ ECOVERO™ and an absolute favorite fabric of mine. It’s soft, smooth and has a luxury feel to it.
I hope you like these dresses as much as I do – next blog post will cover all neutral dresses.
With love,
